• In May we will start construction on Luxury Condominium homes in the Arbor Oaks neighborhood.
• This summer and fall we will begin development of additional apartment units in Hillsboro and Washington County in an effort to provide much desired, new, for lease housing opportunities in the area.
• We are aggressively engaged in planning efforts on single family and condominium home sites that may still break ground this year.

To accomplish this task list above we have made the difficult decision to sell lots we have in our current inventory to D.R. Horton. This sale of less than 10% of our long term lot inventory will allow us to focus our resources on this narrow window of opportunity in the multi-family market and expedite development of some other very desirable single family home neighborhoods.

Arbor remains committed to the development of a wide variety of housing types that capture every stage of life for those who choose to live in the Portland Metro area. YUM! Maybe try the new WINTER Beaverton Farmer’s Market. The market will now be open from 10am to 1:30pm the first and third Saturdays of each month through April. Rain or shine, 45 vendors will be setting up shop in the usual market spot on SW Hall Blvd between 3rd and 5th Streets near the Beaverton City Library. In our continued effort to provide the best we can for our customers, Ben Droukas shares Arbor’s responsibility to our energy efficiency standards in the article, In winter, cozy new homes built to high efficiency standards keep owners warm, bills low written in the Oregonian on December 30, 2012.

At Arbor Homes, a building science team is charged with searching out technology to improve energy efficiency in homes, said sales and marketing manager Ben Droukas. “We’ve had it almost 10 years,” he said. “As technology improves, so do our building practices.” Arbor, which builds to Arbor Green standards, focuses on three outcomes for buyers, said Droukas: financial health (saving the buyer money through energy efficiency), physical health (use of products such as low-VOC paint) and environmental health (efficient use of the land.)
